Tan Soon Mui Food Industries first opened its doors in Lim Chu Kang, back in August 1974. Our reputation for producing delicious traditional Asian desserts grew with time.

A move to a newer, bigger location in Bukit Batok in 1980 was necessary to meet the growing demand for Tan Soon Mui’s quality products. A top sealing machine capable of packing 1600 jelly products per hour was added to the production line. By 1982, owing to our highly acclaimed reputation for excellence and top quality products, another top sealing machine was added to the production line. It increases our packing capability to 3000 jelly products per hour.

In 1988, to further emphasise product quality and customer service, we invested in research and development with Singapore Institute of Standards and Industrial Research (SISIR) to improve its products�shelf life. We have in place a full HACCP hazard analysis programme. HACCP control prevents the possibility of cross contamination. Our total commitment to hygiene led us to invest in a $400,000 pillow vacuum packing machine.

Demand for Tan Soon Mui’s products and services steadily grew and the company expanded its manufacturing facilities to our present 1500 square meter Woodlands location in 1993.
