Tan Soon Mui Food Industries traces its humble beginnings since 1974, where our popularity and demand for producing delicious traditional Asian desserts steadily grew with time.

1974

We first opened our doors in Lim Chu Kang, back in August 1974.

We produced the popular jelly-like local dessert, made from traditional herbs and roots for just a handful of devoted customers.

1980

We moved to a newer, bigger location in Bukit Batok in 1980 to meet the growing demands for our finest products.

A top sealing machine capable of packing 1600 jelly products per hour was added to the production line.

1982

By 1982, owing to our highly acclaimed reputation for excellence &  top quality products, another top sealing machine was added to the production line.

It increases our packing capability to 3000 jelly products per hour.

1988

In 1988, we invested in research and development with Singapore Institute of Standards and Industrial Research (SISIR) to improve products’ shelf life. We have in place a full HACCP hazard analysis programme. HACCP control prevents the possibility of cross contamination. This led us to invest in a $400,000 pillow vacuum packing machine.

1993

We expanded our manufacturing facilities to our present 1500 square meter Woodlands location in 1993, as we evolved to becoming one of Singapore’s Leading Asian Desserts Manufacturer.

Awarded ISO 9001 with HACCP and Healthier Choice from the Health Promotion Board. TSM is known for its continuing vision and innovation within the dessert category and has always focused on bringing its consumers the best tasting, highest quality and healthier products at the best value.
